Why global industrial giants mandate the integration of 2520 alloy pipelines in extreme thermal environments.
2520 stainless steel (equivalent to AISI 310S / UNS S31008) features a high concentration of Chromium (24-26%) and Nickel (19-22%). This optimal combination maintains an austenitic microstructural stability, ensuring supreme mechanical properties even when exposed continuously to high temperatures.
Under steady operation, 2520 steel resists scaling up to 1150°C (2102°F). It performs outstandingly in cyclic heating and cooling scenarios, forming a resilient chromium-oxide layer that blocks oxygen penetration and prevents catastrophic metal degradation.
In petrochemical and synthetic gas environments, carbon diffusion into steel components causes embrittlement. The high-alloy composition of 2520 restricts carbon absorption, mitigating stress-rupture risks and preserving ductility at high-pressure levels.
Industrial operations require careful selection of alloy tubing. The table below represents technical specifications indicating the relative performance advantages of 2520 over standard austenitic, duplex, and nickel alloys:
| Alloy Grade | Chromium (Cr) % | Nickel (Ni) % | Max Scaling Temp (Continuous) | Primary Strengths |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2520 (310S) | 24.0 - 26.0 | 19.0 - 22.0 | 1150 °C | Ultra-High Thermal Stability, Scaling Resistance |
| 316L | 16.0 - 18.0 | 10.0 - 14.0 | 870 °C | Chloride Pitting Resistance, Molybdenum-enhanced |
| Duplex 2205 | 22.0 - 23.0 | 4.5 - 6.5 | 300 °C (Embrittlement risk above) | Superb Mechanical Strength, Stress Corrosion Cracking |
| Incoloy 825 | 19.5 - 23.5 | 38.0 - 46.0 | 540 °C (Sulfur environments) | Acids and Chloride stress corrosion resistance |
Deciphering market shifts in thermal engineering, aerospace manufacturing, and sustainable infrastructure.
Renewable hydrogen systems, solar thermal plants, and biomass incinerators operate under high temperatures. 2520 pipes offer the thermal resilience required to extend the service life of boilers, superheaters, and heat recovery generators.
Sourcing specialists require traceablity. Global engineers demand strict verification via EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates, PMI testing, and dimension compliance to avoid installation delays and operational safety issues.
China’s advanced metallurgy factories utilize digital automation, automated drawing lines, and integrated quality monitoring systems. This offers cost efficiencies and high precision for custom sizing.
Liaocheng Sihe Stainless Steel Material LTD is a premier manufacturer in China specializing in the design, development, and high-volume fabrication of stainless steel coiled tubing, polishing tubes, and seamless coiled tubing. Utilizing six state-of-the-art production lines, we adhere to the most stringent international standards including GB, ASTM, ASME, JIS, and EN.
Our material catalog encompasses standard austenitic steels, high-temp alloys, and duplex grades, including: 304/304L, 316L, 321, 317L, 309S, 310S (2520), INCOLOY 800, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, Incoloy 825, and Inconel 625.
We supply coiled tubing ranging from outer diameters of 0.125 inches (3.175 mm) to 1 inch (25.4 mm) with wall thicknesses up to 0.165 inches (3 mm). Continuous single-coil lengths can reach up to 32,800 feet (10,000 meters). This eliminates orbital joints and provides maximum structural integrity for chemical processing, oil & gas extractions, and umbilical line fabrications.
Our production facilities utilize the world's first-class bright annealing technology, allowing online heat treatment of stainless steel pipe. Comprehensive quality control tests include compression tests, flaring tests, bending tests, 100% hardness tests, tensile testing, and air tightness tests.

Clear answers to help you navigate international procurement and logistics.
Our prices are subject to change depending on supply, raw material cost (nickel and chromium fluctuations), and other market factors. We will send you an updated price list after your company contacts us for further information.
Yes, we require all international orders to have an ongoing minimum order quantity. If you are looking to resell but in much smaller quantities, we recommend you check out our website for local distributor contacts.
Yes, we can provide most documentation including Certificates of Analysis / Conformance (EN 10204 3.1); Insurance; Country of Origin, and other export documents where required.
For samples, the lead time is about 7 days. For mass production, the lead time is 20-30 days after receiving the deposit payment. The lead times become effective when (1) we have received your deposit, and (2) we have your final approval for your products. If our lead times do not work with your deadline, please go over your requirements with your sales representative. In all cases, we will try to accommodate your needs.
You can make the payment to our bank account, Western Union, or PayPal: 30% deposit in advance, 70% balance against the copy of B/L.
We warranty our materials and workmanship. Our commitment is to your satisfaction with our products. In warranty or not, it is the culture of our company to address and resolve all customer issues to everyone’s satisfaction.
Yes, we always use high-quality export packaging. We also use specialized hazard packing for dangerous goods and validated cold storage shippers for temperature-sensitive items. Specialist packaging and non-standard packing requirements may incur an additional charge.
The shipping cost depends on the delivery method you choose. Express is the fastest but also the most expensive option. Ocean freight is the best solution for high-volume orders. Accurate freight rates can only be provided once we know the details of your order volume, weight, and destination. Please contact us for further information.
