Description: Our production of stainless steel coils spans a ten-year history. Operating two complete production lines, we produce continuous welded pipes utilizing leading-edge manufacturing technology. Through the implementation of world first-class online bright annealing technology, we perform continuous inline softening treatments for stainless steel pipes. In addition, we execute robust quality control testing, including compression, flaring, bending tests, 100% hardness tests, tensile strength testing, and air tightness inspections. Our pricing is highly competitive and quality is thoroughly dependable, with 80% of our coil products exported to global markets.
Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to grade 304 among austenitic stainless steels. The chemical addition of molybdenum provides Grade 316 with superior overall corrosion resistant properties compared to Grade 304, showing particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in harsh chloride environments.
Grade 316L is the low-carbon version of Grade 316, making it highly immune to sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation). Consequently, it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components (typically over 6mm). There is commonly no significant price difference between 316 and 316L stainless steel grades.
The stable austenitic microstructure also provides these grades with exceptional toughness, maintaining excellent properties even down to cryogenic temperature ranges.
Compared to standard chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels, 316L stainless steel offers higher creep resistance, stress-to-rupture limits, and superior tensile strength at elevated operating temperatures.
These properties are specified for flat-rolled products (plate, sheet, and coil) in ASTM A240/A240M. Similar but not necessarily identical properties are specified for other product configurations, such as pipe, tubing, and bar, in their respective individual specifications.
