About Liaocheng Sihe Stainless Steel Material LTD

Established as a leading innovator in the alloy piping domain, Liaocheng Sihe Stainless Steel Material LTD operates six state-of-the-art production lines. We specialize in the metallurgical engineering and custom manufacture of high-performance stainless steel coiled tubes, bright polished tubes, and ultra-long seamless coiled tubing. Our processes rigidly align with international specifications, including GB, ASTM, ASME, JIS, and EN standards, ensuring high mechanical integrity and corrosion-resistance profiles.

Our core catalog spans austenitic grades such as 304/304L, 316L, 321, 317L, 309S, 310S, alongside highly resilient alloy categories like Incoloy 800, Incoloy 825, Inconel 625, Duplex 2205, and Super Duplex 2507. These materials are structurally certified to tolerate extreme environments—making them popular in military, semiconductor fabrication, biopharma instrumentation, subsea oil and gas exploration, high-temperature heat exchangers, automotive fuel lines, and aerospace hydraulic units.

"With over a decade of dedication to bright annealing technology and precision cold drawing, we provide continuous coiled tubing lengths up to 32,800 feet (10,000 meters) to eliminate high-risk orbital welds in umbilical manufacturing."

We run comprehensive in-house quality assurance loops: 100% hardness tests, air tightness tests, flattening/flaring procedures, and tensile tests. Today, 80% of our production output is exported globally, servicing major supply hubs across the United States, Germany, Spain, South America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

Global Industrial Status of 316/316L Stainless Steel Pipes

An exploration of chemistry, corrosion resistance, and why modern infrastructure prioritizes molybdenum-alloyed steel.

1. Understanding the Molybdenum Advantage & PREN

In marine, chemical processing, and subsea oil recovery, standard 304 stainless steel often experiences localized corrosion, notably pitting and crevice corrosion, when exposed to chloride ions. 316 and 316L stainless steel solve this issue via the integration of 2.0% to 3.0% Molybdenum (Mo).

The Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) indicates a metal's susceptibility to pitting corrosion. It is calculated using the following formula:

PREN = %Cr + (3.3 * %Mo) + (16 * %N)

While grade 304 steel averages a PREN of approximately 18–20, grade 316L reaches a PREN of 23–25. This performance improvement ensures that 316L remains passive in seawater and acidic process streams where 304 would experience rapid failure.

2. Why Low Carbon (316L) is Non-Negotiable in Welded Systems

During welding, exposure to temperatures between 425°C and 860°C can trigger carbon precipitation at the grain boundaries, causing sensitization. This results in localized chromium depletion adjacent to the weld zone, which compromises corrosion resistance and can lead to intergranular corrosion.

By maintaining carbon content below 0.03%, 316L reduces sensitization risk, preserving the integrity of welded structural joints and making post-weld annealing unnecessary in most environments.

3. Chinese Factory Efficiency & Technological Edge

China’s industrial infrastructure provides significant cost and engineering efficiencies. At Liaocheng Sihe, we combine high production capacities with specialized technologies:

  • Bright Annealing (BA) Technology: We process tubes in a controlled hydrogen/nitrogen protective atmosphere at temperatures exceeding 1040°C, followed by rapid cooling. This eliminates surface oxidation, preserving a clean, reflective finish and high mechanical elasticity without the need for acid pickling.
  • Continuous Cold Drawing: Precision drawing machines achieve narrow tolerances on both outer diameter and wall thickness, which is critical for automatic orbital welding and compression fittings.
  • Integrated Supply Chain: Sourcing high-quality billets locally allows us to optimize manufacturing schedules and maintain consistent mechanical properties.

Technical Q&A (FAQ)

Expert answers to questions regarding pipeline mechanics, metallurgy, and procurement.

What are your pricing guidelines for international procurement? +
Our pricing structures are determined by raw LME metal index values, alloy composition percentages, dimension complexities, and order quantities. Once you contact us with your specifications, we will provide a detailed quote and technical data sheet.
Do you have a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)? +
Yes, we require minimum order quantities for international orders. If you are sourcing smaller quantities, please contact our sales office to check current stock availability.
Can you supply the relevant mill and export documentation? +
Yes, we provide comprehensive documentation packages, including EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates (MTC), Certificates of Origin, Certificate of Conformance (CoC), packing lists, and marine insurance records.
What is your average lead time? +
For standardized sample lengths, we average a lead time of 7 days. For full container mass production runs, the average turnaround is 20–30 days from deposit confirmation and drawing approval.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept wire transfers (T/T), L/C, Western Union, and PayPal. Our typical payment terms are a 30% deposit in advance, with the remaining 70% balance due against the copy of the Bill of Lading (B/L).
What guarantees or warranties do you provide? +
We guarantee our material chemistry and manufacturing quality. Every shipment is covered by our material warranty, and we address any quality concerns to ensure a prompt resolution.
How do you guarantee safe delivery of products? +
We package our products in heavy-duty export-approved wooden crates, with the coils wrapped in plastic protection to prevent seawater intrusion during transit. Spools and continuous coils are structurally supported to avoid deformation.
How are shipping fees calculated? +
Shipping costs depend on the delivery terms (FOB, CIF, CFR, DDP), total package weight, volume, and carrier. Sea freight is recommended for large shipments to optimize cost.
What is the structural benefit of bright annealing? +
Bright annealing is conducted in a dry hydrogen atmosphere, which prevents oxidation on the inner and outer surfaces of the tube. This maintains a clean surface, reduces friction losses, prevents product contamination, and eliminates the need for acid pickling.
Are custom sizes outside your catalog possible? +
Yes. Our in-house engineering team can develop custom outer diameters, wall thicknesses, and continuous lengths to meet your specific project requirements.
