Stainless steel coil piping, unlike conventional straight pipes, provides the distinct advantage of eliminating mechanical fittings and orbital welds over extremely long lengths. This seamless structural integrity is paramount in high-pressure hydraulic and gas transportation networks. When considering fluid mechanics, the seamless interior wall finish reduces localized friction, eliminating turbulence and minimizing structural erosion.

For applications such as subsea umbilical cables, where control lines operate at depths exceeding 3,000 meters, any weld joint introduces a potential point of failure. Our manufacturing technology produces continuous lengths of up to 10,000 meters (32,800 feet) without transverse welds, ensuring uniform structural performance across the entire deployment length.

2. Alloy Selection and Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN)

In highly corrosive chloride environments, standard austenitic stainless steels can suffer localized pitting and crevice corrosion. The selection of materials must be guided by chemical composition calculations, particularly the Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number:
