Explore our top-selling 201 structural and exhaust welded pipes optimized for chemical manufacturing, marine environments, and high-strength construction projects in Maharashtra.
Mumbai, as the financial capital of India, operates as the logistical and structural gateway for South Asia. The rapid urbanization of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), coupled with industrial expansions in Thane, Belapur, and Pune, has triggered an unprecedented demand for reliable, cost-effective structural materials. Among these, 201 Stainless Steel Welded Pipes have emerged as a high-utility category.
Classified as a lower-nickel, high-manganese austenitic alloy, Grade 201 represents a highly efficient alternative to traditional Grade 304. In structural applications, structural frameworks, handrails, and industrial exhausts, Grade 201 provides equivalent or superior yield strength, allowing project managers and engineers to scale projects without budget overruns. For the coastal environments of Mumbai, proper alloy specification and surface passivation ensure that our 201 welded tubes perform exceptionally well under high humidity.
By optimizing chemical composition—specifically increasing manganese and nitrogen ratios—our factory produces 201 pipes that possess superior mechanical properties. These pipes resist stress deformation and exhibit excellent workability during cold forming, making them ideal for complex architectural geometries and demanding automotive exhaust profiles across India.
A premier Chinese manufacturer supplying high-performance coiled tubes, polished pipes, and structural profiles globally.
Originally established as a leading manufacturer of premium coiled tubing, Liaocheng Sihe Stainless Steel Material Ltd operates six high-precision production lines. We maintain absolute compliance with ASTM, ASME, JIS, GB, and EN standards. Our production envelope encompasses highly sought-after steel grades including 304/304L, 316L, 321, 317L, 309S, 310S, and exotic alloys such as INCOLOY 800, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, Incoloy 825, and Inconel 625.
Our dedication to engineering excellence extends to our 201 Welded Pipe segment. Equipped with state-of-the-art **bright annealing technology**, we offer on-line softening treatments that eliminate internal stress and guarantee uniform grain size. To ensure that every batch of pipes destined for Mumbai matches the highest global quality standards, we implement a rigorous testing matrix: 100% pneumatic testing, hydraulic pressure testing, flaring and flattening validation, metallurgical inspection, and eddy current defect detection.
Our strategic proximity to Chinese shipping ports allows us to orchestrate seamless shipping logistics straight to Mumbai's primary maritime gates, guaranteeing reliable transit timelines and reduced warehousing overheads for Indian procurement partners.
Why leading EPC contractors and automotive manufacturers in Western India trust our engineering path.
We support precise diameter profiling from 6.35mm up to custom large-diameter structural welded tubes. Our machinery handles tight-radius spiral bends, complex curves, and coil configurations with no wall thinning.
Utilizing protective hydrogen atmospheres, our in-line bright annealing ensures clean, oxide-free internal and external surfaces. This process maximizes ductility and improves corrosion resistance profile of 201 steel.
Every welded pipe undergoes hydraulic stress testing, non-destructive eddy current testing, flanging checks, and micro-structural alignment evaluations to withstand high pressures in industrial fluid lines.
Our 201 Welded Pipes and specialized tube ranges find vital roles in critical sectors across the global market.
Our engineering protocols are validated by leading international inspection agencies, ensuring safety and compliance in public and private infrastructural developments.

In high-salinity and high-humidity corridors such as Greater Mumbai, mechanical engineers often debate the feasibility of implementing chromium-nickel-manganese (200 series) versus standard chromium-nickel (300 series) steel. The primary driver for selecting Grade 201 is its high yield strength. Because 201 contains nitrogen as an interstitial alloying element, it has a yield strength of approximately 310 MPa—substantially higher than 304 (around 205 MPa). This allows structural designers to specify thinner-walled tubes without compromising structural load capacities.
Our manufacturing facility utilizes Automated High-Frequency Induction Welding (HFIW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG). When dealing with Grade 201, keeping the heat input low is essential to prevent chromium carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries, a phenomenon commonly called sensitization. To mitigate sensitization, our welding lines feature online gas shielding on both the interior and exterior of the weld line, followed by rapid cooling. This process preserves chromium distribution throughout the matrix, ensuring the heat-affected zone (HAZ) remains robust against intergranular corrosion.
To resist surface staining and atmospheric corrosion in coastal zones like Colaba, Worli, or Navi Mumbai, all 201 welded tubes undergo nitric or citric acid bath passivation. This chemical treatment removes free iron from the outer layer, creating a thin, uniform passive chromium oxide film (Cr2O3). For exterior structural applications, we recommend specifying a polished or Hairline (HL) surface finish combined with clear protective coatings to ensure long-term aesthetic stability.
